Product & deployment questions

Know the platform. Plan the setup.

Practical answers about dedicated infrastructure, high-resolution processing, playback, protection, monetization and the deployment process.

What is XtremeStream?

XtremeStream is a video processing, delivery, protection and monetization platform for operators of streaming websites, applications, video portals and media services. It is dedicated infrastructure for your service, not a consumer streaming or IPTV subscription.

Do I get my own server?

Yes. Each client receives dedicated server infrastructure, sized for their workload. A deployment may use one server or a multi-server setup. Configuration and access are delivered after provisioning, setup and testing, not through instant self-service signup.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on the infrastructure and workload: video library size, source and output quality, processing requirements, expected peak concurrent viewers, storage and the delivery, protection and monetization options you need. Discuss your requirements with us on Telegram.

What information helps you recommend a setup?

Bring an approximate video count, typical source quality, highest quality you need to process, expected maximum concurrent viewers and storage needs. Include special requirements such as multi-audio, ASS subtitles, previews, VR, P2P, advanced protection or monetization.

Can XtremeStream process 4K, 5K and 8K video?

Yes. Video processing supports workflows up to 8K, including 5K and 4K, with multiple output qualities. Hardware and processing settings are sized to your sources and workload; there is no universal processing-speed promise.

Does XtremeStream support multiple audio tracks?

Yes. It can inspect source files, identify and extract additional audio streams and let you choose a primary audio language. Language metadata and the selected player configuration determine how tracks are presented to viewers.

Which subtitle workflows are supported?

Automatic extraction, VTT, ASS and SRT workflows are supported, alongside soft subtitles, hardcoded subtitles and primary/default language selection. Rendering and track options depend on the selected player and deployment.

Can XtremeStream generate thumbnails and previews?

Yes. The processing workflow can generate a video thumbnail and a short MP4 preview using portions of the original video. Preview and thumbnail options are configured for your content workflow.

What results can I expect from video compression?

Compression depends on the source material, codec and processing settings. A representative real-world example reduced a 20 GB source to 4 GB, but that is an example, not a guaranteed ratio or a promise of identical results.

Which players are supported?

Player options include VideoJS, JW Player and Plyr, alongside VR playback workflows. Quality switching, audio, subtitles, protection and ad features are matched to the chosen player and configuration.

Does XtremeStream support Chromecast and AirPlay?

Yes. Casting workflows include Chromecast and AirPlay. Compatibility depends on the selected player, viewer device, media and subtitle configuration; not every combination behaves identically.

Does XtremeStream support VR video?

Yes. It supports 180° and 360° VR workflows, touch/mouse and mobile gyroscope interaction, and multiple projection modes including sphere, cube, side-by-side, top-to-bottom and equi-angular cubemap variants.

What advertising formats are supported?

VAST, VPAID and Google IMA integrations are available, along with pre-, mid- and post-roll where supported and configured. Custom JavaScript, analytics integration and an optional Anti-AdBlock workflow can be configured for your deployment.

What is Fort Knox?

Fort Knox is XtremeStream’s advanced video protection: a hardened playback flow designed to resist common browser-based and download-manager extraction methods. It makes direct extraction more difficult; it is not a claim that copying is impossible.

What is MDJ-WP?

Multi-Domain Journey for WordPress routes a viewer through your own web property before reaching the protected final player. It can support content and advertising exposure, a controlled playback journey and custom thumbnail or short-preview workflows. No revenue increase is guaranteed.

Can I offer downloads without contradicting protection?

Yes, when controlled downloads are enabled in your deployment. These are downloads explicitly authorized by the platform operator. Fort Knox addresses unwanted extraction; operator-approved download access is a separate policy choice.

Does XtremeStream have an API?

Yes. XtremeStream provides an authenticated API for integrating video management and processing workflows with your own application or backend. Detailed API documentation is provided with client deployments.

How long does deployment take?

Typical deployments can often be prepared within a few days after infrastructure is available. Provisioning, configuration and testing affect timing. We discuss the plan with you rather than guarantee a fixed deadline.

How do I contact XtremeStream?

Telegram is our public sales and support contact channel. Tell us about your workload to begin planning your dedicated deployment. The separate changelog channel is for product announcements, not sales enquiries.
